Yesterday for lunch I had the yummiest open faced sandwich. Tomatoes, shallots, basil (all from the garden I might add), with smoked applewood cheddar on toasted German rye bread. Delicious AND pretty. To wash it down, a michelada. I can't stop thinking about it so I'm having this again for dinner tonight because it's too darn hot to cook and I've got tomato sandwiches on the brain.
